On April 22, it was learned from Yichang City Administrative Service and Big Data Administration that Citizen Cards can be applied online or on mobile phones. In future, citizens can make self-service application for citizen cards without going outside.

　　It is learnt that the online service is open for both individual users and group users. After registration with “Citizen E-Home” APP and completion of advanced authentication, individual users can enter “My E-Home”- “Citizen Card”- “Application” to fill up the application and then select a bank for card collection. If the system cannot access the ID photo information, applicants can submit a white-bottomed e-photo, after which they can choose whether to generate a business e-credential for either previewing or downloading. Group users can log onto Yichang government service network for group application submission, bank binding and card inquiry business.

　　People having access to on-line business include Yichang citizens with residence registration, non-citizens who have obtained residence permits and those who have paid local social insurance. In future, EMS card-mailing service will be covered, with the cost falling on the citizen card service center, so that users can get the citizen cards merely at home. (Reporter Song Chengcheng)
