It’s a great pleasure for the guests from all over the world to sip and taste tea together in Yichang. It’s learned from the press conference held on April 25 that the activity themed 2019 International Tea Purchasers’ Travel to Yichang, sponsored by the municipal government and undertaken by the units including the Municipal Commerce Bureau, the Municipal Agricultural and Rural Bureau, will be staged in the city from May 3 to 6. At that time, nearly 200 people including foreign ambassadors like Aziz Mekouar, the Moroccan Ambassador to China , Jin Yongjin, the Korean Consul General in Wuhan, and 40 tea purchasers from Russia and other countries and regions along the Belt and Road as well as domestic guests, will be invited to attend the grand tea party.

　　It’s the third time in a row for the city to hold such tea party. This year’s party is themed “Yichang tea, spreads fragrance to the world”. The various activities to be staged including a number of visits to Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Yidu City, Yichang High-tech Zone and other places, like tea museums and tea planting, production and processing bases, and participation in colorful tea- related activities. The Promotion and Signing Ceremony of 2019 International Tea Purchasers’ Travel to Yichang will also be held to promote Yichang high-quality tea, to make Yichang tea brands better known and to sign tea business agreements.
