On May 14, it’s learned from the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that so far there are 207 green foods in Yichang, ranking first in terms of total number, quality and speed of development in Huber Province.

　　In recent years, the city has fully respected the market demand and let the market guide the transformation and development of its agriculture to accelerate the formation of an industry chain of ecological agriculture. Giving full play to the leading role of those demonstration zones, the city vigorously promotes the standardization of green food, and has built 12 demonstration zones for standardized production of green food, with a total coverage of nearly 1 million mu.

The city has made great efforts to cultivate green food brands, so that Yiling-Hong branded Yichang Tangerine from Hubei Xingxiang Farm Products Professional Cooperative Association and Ziqiufeiji eggs of Changyang won the gold medals at the 19th China Green Food Expo held at the end of last year.
