On May 14, the reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Construction that the Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge, which was constructed under the lead of the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Construction and the Municipal Investment Corporation, won the 2018-2019 National Prize for Quality Investment Projects, becoming the first project in Yichang to win this prize.

　　Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge is the sixth Yangtze River Bridge constructed in our city and the second steel-concrete composite beam suspension bridge in the world. It is of great significance for Yichang to construct three-level Expressway ring network of "four vertical and five horizontal" and "internal, middle and external", to promote the coordinated development of Jiangnan, Jiangbei and Xi dam, and to ensure the safety of the two dams. The width variation of the bridge deck and ramp junction reaches 21.5 meters, which is the first case of river-crossing bridges in China. The synchronous construction of catwalk and anchorage is creatively adopted in the construction of the bridge, which saves three months’ time and tens of millions yuan. The award is a full affirmation and encouragement for the outstanding contribution made by the project in technological and investment mode innovation.
