On May 21, it’s learned that Yichang Customs has recently launched a self-service printing of certificates of origin in order to continuously optimize the business environment and facilitate cross-border trade. So far, 26 of such certificates have been printed in Yichang.
In the past, to acquire a certificate of origin, export-oriented enterprises had to apply for a blank certificate at the customs first, then apply online, and print the certificate after approval and then return to the customs for signature and seal. “It took at least 3 days to handle this. “said Zhou Yurong, Senior Document Director of Angel Yeast Co., Ltd., now thanks to self-service printing, she can obtain the certificate just by logging into the single window of the international trade website or the “Internet plus Customs”, an integrated online government service platform.
It’s learned that there are 15 kinds of certificates of origin supporting self-service printing in the first batch, which includes free trade agreement certificates of origin between China and 9 foreign countries including Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan, the cross-strait economic cooperation framework agreement certificate of origin, Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement certificate of origin (except South Korea), non-preferential certificate of origin, tobacco authenticity certificate, intermediary trade certificate, and processing and assembly certificate.
Relevant officials of Yichang Customs said that they will thoroughly implement the preferential origin policy on export goods to enable enterprises to fully enjoy the dividends of national policy, enhance economic benefits and promote the development of export-oriented economy of the city.
