On May 26, the first activity of the national "Green Living Day" series started in Yidu. "Green Lifestyle Guide", "Yidu Declaration of Green Living " and "Green Living Initiative" were issued.
The event focuses on living green in all aspects to promote a green lifestyle and create a model for green living, which has fully demonstrated the important achievements of Yichang and Yidu in this regard.
Wang Zhouyu and Wang Yijia were appointed as ambassadors of the Green Living Day. Celebrities in the literary and artistic fields such as Chen Duo, Chen Jianbin, Guo Xiaodong, Ouyang Xiadan, Liu Yiwei and Angelababy have also showed their support for the event.
Yidu, one of the civilized cities in China, has carried out dozens of green lifestyle activities in recent years. The educational research and practice of "ecological childhood" has planted green seeds in the hearts of children; the "Golden Seed" program has promoted the green development of voluntary services which helps rural revitalization; the demonstration belt of civilization practice in the new era "fu mei xiang yun"(blessed rural charm) has begun to take shape; 64 charging piles of new energy cars have been installed in the urban public parking lot; 4.5 kilometers of urban healthy trails and more than 100 kilometers of rural runways run through the urban and rural areas, sparking the enthusiasm of "green running" of all the citizens.
"The establishment of the first National Green Living Day in Yidu marks Yidu as the first demonstration area of green living in China." Xu Guang said that with the establishment of "Green Living Day", he hoped that a green development mode and green lifestyle will be formed and China's green concept and experience will be shown to the world.
