2019-06-19 09:20:12

As Yichang is now in flood season, the extreme weathers, such as high temperature, thunderstorm, gale and severe convection happen frequently. The Professional Tourism Security Committee of Yiling District has issued The Notice on Safety Management of 2019 Outdoor Adventure Activities, in which it is suggested that some outdoor adventure routes will be closed till September 30 from now on, including Nanjinguan Canyon, Tanjiagou, Lengfenggou, Songjiagou, Tiaoshui River, Luomadong, Muyang Creek, Yema Creek,.

On June 7, the first day of closure of some outdoor adventure routes, over 50 travelers were stopped at Huanghua Town and Letianxi Town and returned from their Songjiagou-bound adventure trip. According to Interim Measures for the Safety Management of Outdoor Expedition Activities in Yiling District, it is stipulated that the unauthorized expeditioners who occupy public resources for rescue should bear the relevant responsibilities and expenses.

Outdoor sports enthusiasts, self-driving tourists and free-travel tourists are reminded to be aware of danger prevention and pre-knowledge of the weather and traffic conditions of the destinations as well as the safety announcement released by local authorities so as to keep off tourist attractions located in disaster-warning areas.
