Recently, the launching ceremony of the “1st International Mountain Tourism Day” was held in Kathmandu, Nepal on the south foot of Mount Everest of Himalayas. In this ceremony, “G318 Route—Must Go in Your Life”, the IP of China road tourism, was promoted the oversea world. 36 cities, including Yichang, were listed as the sites of “Must Go in Your Life” along the G318 National Highway.

　　Starting from the Shanghai People’s Square, via the section of 1330 kilometers from Zhijiang County to Changyang County in Yichang City, the G318 Route extends along the mysterious line of 30° north latitude to Shigatsein Tibet. It’s a typical mountain tourism route with a total length of 5476km, enjoying a reputation of world-class cultural landscape route.

　　Among the nine Cultural & Tourism Zones of “G318 Route—Must Go in Your Life”, Yichang City, Chongqing City, Wanzhou City and Enshi City are included in the Three Gorges Cultural & Tourism Zone according to the announcement on the “International Mountain Tourism Day”. Rich in cultural and tourism resources, such as hydro-power culture, Tujia ethnic culture, Three Gorges culture, Ba-chu culture and Three Kingdom culture, the Yichang section along the G318 National Highway as an important site has widely attracted the self-driving tourists.
