On the morning of June 13, the 16th Zhejiang Merchants (Investment and Finance) Conference and the 2019 5G+ Summit was held in Hangzhou. Yichang was listed as one of the 2019 Best Investment Cities of Zhejiang Merchants (out of Zhejaing Province).

　　With the theme of "Foreseeing Changes·Rebuilding Ecology", the conference issued the lists of "2019 China’s Top 500 Zhejiang Merchants" and "2019 Best Investment Cities of Zhejiang Merchants (out of Zhejjiang Province)". The list of the best investment cities includes 4 prefecture-level cities and 6 district and county-level cities. The listed prefecture-level cities are Yichang in Hubei, Yantai in Shandong, Guilin in Guangxi and Bayannaoer in Inner Mongolia. Yichang is the only city in Hubei that has won this honor. Vice Mayor Zhang Fengqi received the award on behalf of Yichang.

　　In recent years, based on the existing industrial base, Yichang has given priority to the development of the five key industries: new materials, bio-medicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, new generation information technology, energy conservation, environmental protection and new energy. It has continuously optimized the market access environment, and has been named as one of "China's Best Investment Cities" and "China's Most Suitable Cities for Opening Factories" and "China’s Top Ten Most Promising Cities", having attracted the investment of nearly 1,000 Zhejiang businesses and 30,000 Zhejiang businessmen.
