On June 16, the 2019 “Belt and Road” Sino-Russian Youth Art Festival (Yichang) live painting and calligraphy competition was held in No. 5 Middle School of Yichang, and more than 200 contestants took part in the competition.

　　The competition includes two categories: painting and calligraphy. It requires the creation of painting and calligraphy on the spot. Base on the theme of the “Belt and Road ”, the participants are divided into pre-school group (3-6 years old), primary school junior group (grade 1-3), primary school senior group (grade 4-6) and middle school group (grade 7-9). The results of the competition will be announced on June 30, which the contestants can inquire through the "Yichang Youth Palace" Wechat Public Number. The winners will be given priority to participate in the live painting competition held at the Vladivostok Railway Cultural Center in Russia from August 18 to 23.

　　This competition provides a platform for the children and adolescents of Yichang to show their self in calligraphy and painting, which is conducive to the prosperity and promotion of young children's painting and calligraphy creation, encourage and train young and middle-aged artistic talents, and further promote and deepen the cultural and artistic exchanges between Russia and China.
