On July 2, the important bridge project of Houhe Bridge on Xiazhou Avenue (Bailinhe－Xianfeng Road) started the erection of the first precast beam. At the same time, other road parts have started asphalt paving, which marked the official sprint phase of the construction of Xiazhou Avenue. This section of the avenue is to open to the public this year, when the public can reach the Three Gorges Airport via the expressway to ease the traffic pressure.

　　It is understood that after the completion of the Xiazhou Avenue, it will become an important aorta of the traffic network of the city by connecting Xiling, Wujiagang, Xiaoting and Baiyang and diverting transit traffic, effectively alleviating the traffic pressure in the central city.
