　　Wang Mougang, director of the office of the Municipal Fire Safety Committee and head of the fire rescue department, said that, based on the typical cases of residential fire accidents in China in recent years, three common problems arise frequently, such as many fire causes, rapid spread of fire, difficulty in escape, and so on, which could easily lead to casualties.

　　In order to strengthen the fire safety of residential quarters, Yichang will carry out special renovation to strictly check whether the property fire management has implemented the "three autonomies, two openness and one commitment"(self-assessment of risks, self-inspection of safety and self-rectification of hidden dangers; notification of responsible persons and managers of fire safety to the public; commitment that there is no major risk or preventive measures have been implemented).Strictly check whether electric bikes are charged within the buildings.Strictly check whether the cable well is tightly sealed.Strictly check whether the stairwell and safety exit are stacked with debris and whether they are locked and blocked. Check whether the community has established a miniature fire station. Strictly check whether electrical lines and gas appliances are being safely modified. Strictly check whether strict control measures are taken for flammable combustible materials and flammable and explosive materials. Strictly check whether simple fire facilities and equipment, temporary fire water sources are set up, and whether fire lanes are open.
