Yichang invested 142 cultural and sports tourism projects, with a total investment of 5.474 billion yuan, including 14 completed projects, 55 new projects, and 73 continued projects. At the same time, a number of scenic spots such as the Three Gorges Waterfall, Tianlongwan of Yidu and Zhaojun Village of Xingshan have been upgraded to create a national 4A and 5A scenic spot; The construction of “Tourism +” characteristic towns, such as Nanling in Wujiagang District, Caojiafan in Dianjun District, Sanxiachalu in Yiling District, are in full swing, and the Three Gorges National Tourism Resort is looming.

In the first half of this year, Yichang also successfully held many competitions, such as the Yuan’an Field Marathon, the Dragon Boat Cultural Festival in Quyuan's hometown, the 2019 WDSF World Sports Dance Open (Yichang, China) and the China Yichang Sports Dance Open, and the International Extreme Drifting F1 Grand Prix in Yichang Natural Waters, China.
