On July 21, the reporter learned from Yichang Logistics Development Center that in the first half of this year, the city's logistics industry maintained a strong momentum of development as the quality and efficiency of logistics operation steadily improved. With a growth rate of 10.38%, the city's total social logistics volume reached 519.9 billion yuan from January to June, which was expected to exceed the trillion mark throughout the year. The added value of the logistics industry was 19.1 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 11.69%. The container throughput was 110,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit), a year-on-year increase of 38.53%. The business revenue growth rate of enterprises included in the service industry statistics was 39%, ranking the third in all industries.

　　Since this year, Yichang has accelerated the construction of logistics hub to improve the logistics supply capacity. The construction of multimodal transport hub has helped transfer a total of 2.98 million tons of goods under and above the dam, an effort to break the "bottleneck" of logistics in the Yangtze River. The freight volume of the whole container rail-water coordinated transport reached 715 TEU, 18,000 tons, which was 5.5 times that of 2018. Being selected as the third batch of national multimodal transport pilots, Baiyang Port opened nine new multimodal transport lines with freight volume of 218,000 tons. The international logistics channel was opened to speed up the interconnection with “The Belt and Road Initiative” and the sea-land international new channel. Three northbound international logistics channels and two southbound channels have been opened. At the same time, the city has strengthen its efforts to construct the logistics network system. Three Gorges Air Logistics Park has bidden for 443 mu of land, and Three Gorges Dam-over passing Logistics Park, Rijing Logistics and other projects have been orderly promoted. Honghuatao Modern Logistics Park was granted a credit of 650 million yuan by Agricultural Development Bank. In addition to Xingshan County, nine other counties and cities have achieved full coverage of county-level logistics centers. 78 town-level logistics stations and 965 village-level service stations have been built, with coverage rates of 96% and 76% respectively. 236 poverty-stricken villages have opened 187 logistics service stations with a coverage rate of 79%. The close integration of logistics and rural e-commerce has made an important contribution to targeted poverty alleviation.

　　Yichang has also accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry to enhance the logistics service capacity. It has guided Ansa Logistics to carry out enterprise listing research, supported Tianyuan Logistics and Three Gorges Yinling to develop modern supply chain and cold chain logistics respectively. The city has made efforts to explore new logistics formats, promote the development of "Internet + freight logistics", and guide the cooperation between Sinoiov and Ansa Logistics to create online financial services products which provide freight prepaying, small loans and related insurance services. It has also advanced the development of green logistics by setting up fast charging pile facilities in the Three Gorges Logistics Park and other key parks. It has guided Yichang Lixin, Huawei Logistics, Zhonglianyun and other enterprises to carry out suspension transport and joint distribution as an effort to promote the use of new energy vehicles for urban distribution.
