With the coming of summer vacation, the peak of tourism is approaching. On July 19, the Consumption Association remind consumers of the consumption trap. People had better prepare for their trip and enhance their safety awareness prior to their journey.
Group tourism is the favorite for many consumers. Consumers should choose a well-reputable and regular travel agency and pay attention to the relevant documents of the travel agency, including the Travel Agency Business License and the Enterprise Legal Person Business License. After determining the tourist routes, a formal written travel contract should be signed. For vague and ambiguous clauses, the true meaning should be confirmed in the supplementary agreement; for some easily disputed matters, especially the standard of eating, living and traveling, the standard should be clearly stipulated in the written contract to avoid disputes due to ambiguous agreement in the future. If the prices of certain routes are significantly lower than the costs, consumers should be aware of low-cost trap. The additional clauses of the contract should give clear indication about the solution to the travel interruption due to force majeure and other factors. Consumers should also ask for formal invoices after paying group fees and insurance premiums to guard against the terms trap. Don't easily entrust a tour guide or someone else to act as a shopping agent.
At the same time, the Consumer Association reminds consumers that they should bear consumer rights protection in mind. If they encounter compulsory consumption, they should retain travel contracts and shopping evidence, submit basic information of individuals and business entities to tourism departments, market supervision and consumer committee organizations in their jurisdictions, and state the process of being cheated and ask for relevant demands, consequently, the relevant departments can find out what’s going on and quickly set off to investigate and approach the problem.
