Recently, the Blood Ethanol Testing Center of Yichang Renhe Judicial Appraisal Institute was built and put into operation in Affiliated Renhe Hospital of Three Gorges University. The Institute and the Testing Center are established with the approval of Hubei Provincial Judicial Department and are the only judicial accreditation institutions in eastern Chongqing and western Hubei prefectures that have obtained the certificates of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment ( CNAS) and Hubei Market Supervision Bureau for Blood Ethanol Testing.

　　With the strong support and assistance of Affiliated Renhe Hospital of Three Gorges University, Yichang Bureau of Justice, Yichang Public Security Bureau and other work units, the Blood Ethanol Testing Center has raised funds from various sources and introduced international advanced blood ethanol inspection and testing equipment, such as Gas Chromatograph. In accordance with the requirements of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau and Provincial Department of Justice, more than 80 square meters of inspection and testing office room and sign hanging were renovated. Six office rooms were separated, which are case reception room, pretreatment room, chromatographic room, sample room, archives room and normal office room. The Testing Center has achieved full coverage of high-definition infrared surveillance video in the whole process of inspection and testing. Besides, the technical staff of the Center is strong, the procedure of case-based inspection and testing is standardized, and the quality of testing is stable and reliable. Therefore, the center has been awarded twice because ofsatisfactory results in blood ethanol testing by the Ministry of Justice. (Correspondent: Yan Wanxi)
