Applicants can apply to Yichang Three Gorges Notary Office for notarization through WeChat starting from August 22.

　　At present, notarizations that can be applied through WeChat are mainly foreign-related notarizations, including notarizations of studying abroad, settlement, immigration, visiting relatives, business, overseas labor and other purposes. Certificates to be notarized include diploma, degree certificate, transcript, birth certificate, passport, household registration, real estate certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, driver's license, kinship relationship, no criminal record certificate, unmarried statement and other notarizations.

　　The applicant can scan the QR code of the Yichang Three Gorges Notary Office or searches for the official account of Yichang Three Gorges Notary Office and follows it, then click “Online Acceptance” at the bottom right of the interface, click “Start application”, select foreign-related notarization and upload required materials according to Prompts for review. Applicants can check the status of the application at "My Application". If the applicant has any questions about the materials to be submitted or the notarization process, s/he can click on “Application Notice” and “Notarization Guidance”or call the Yichang Three Gorges Notary Office at 0717-6730802.

　　According to the person in charge of the office,compared with the previous practice which requires presence of the applicant at the notary office, the application through WeChat official account is handled as long as the application materials are complete, true and legal and are in line with the legal acceptance conditions.For some notarizations that require verification of original materials, the applicant can obtain the notarial certificate as long as s/he takes the original materials to be checked at the notary office. For the notarization which does not require the check of original materials, the applicant can easily obtain the notarial certificate by mailing.
