The press conference of the 10th Tour of China Road Cycling Race - Section of Zhijiang, Yichang was held in the city on August 28. This race, with the title of "Riding on the idyllic Zhijiang River and gathering at the beautiful Jinhu Lake", will be conducted in Zhijiang City on September 11.

　　Approved by the Union Cyclist International (UCI) and the General Administration of Sports of China, the Tour of China Road Cycling Race serves as the annual national men's professional highway cycling race sponsored by the China Cycling Association (CCA). Known as the only cross-regional international sporting event named by the nation, it has been held for nine consecutive years.

　　It is reported that the race will involve 132 professional cyclists from 22 teams of more than 30 countries on five continents. Covering a total length of 156 kilometers, the race track mainly passes through Zhijiang Sports Center, Danyang Park, Fairy Industrial Park, Zhijiang Innovation Industry Center, Four Seasons Harbor Park, Jinhu National Wetland Park, the famous Mituo Temple in Western Hubei Province and other places. The race enjoys beautiful scenery and high standard of stage along its track. Besides, there will be grand carnival and personal riding activities during the race.

　　Since 2010, Zhijiang City has successfully held the tour of Bailizhou cycling race for nine times relying on the unique geographical advantages of Bailizhou Town. It hosted the Zhijiang Branch of Chinese Cycling League in 2017, winning the award of "the most beautiful race track of Chinese Cycling League in the 2017 season". It then undertook the 9th Tour of China Road Cycling Race - Zhijiang Section in Yichang in 2018, and won the honor of "the most beautiful scenery section".
