A few days ago, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport jointly released the list of the first batch of 23 national logistics hubs. The Yichang Port-Type National Logistics Hub was successfully selected and it was the only one in Hubei.

　　Before the release, to promote the construction of a port-type national logistics hub, the Yichang Municipal Logistics Industry Development Center, the Yichang Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and Yichang Urban Construction Investment Holding Group jointly had formulated a construction plan centering on “Two Dams—Two Ports—Two Parks”. To break the bottleneck in shipment of the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam, Yichang, relying on the existing national multimodal transport demonstration project—Baiyang Port and Maoping Port of the Three Gorges Project—had construct the Baiyang Logistics Park and the Zigui Logistics Park to fundamentally relieve the navigation pressure of the Three Gorges channel and solve the obstruction problem.
