On September 12, it’s learned at the press conference of 2019 Yichang “Quality Month” that the campaign takes the theme ‘Working Together to Make Yichang Competitive with High quality’ and will unfold with 10 moves, striving to develop an atmosphere of caring about and stressing the quality of products and creating and enjoying products and services of quality throughout the society.

　　The relevant leader from the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau said that the market supervision department will continue to carry out special rectification in the control over African swine fever and illegal slaughtering of livestock throughout the quality control campaign. It will deepen the management of food safety and steadily promote the governance over fake and shoddy food in rural areas, strengthen the supervision and control over the sale of junk food on campus and its surrounding areas, while carrying out special inspection on food safety in schools in autumn and developing dual random supervision and inspection of school supplies and stationery.

　　In regard to the quality issues of concern to the masses, the city will keep smooth online and offline channels for consumer rights protection publicize consumer complaints and disclose a series of quality problems and major market violations concerned by the people. And a co-governance pattern of consumer rights protection is to be set up through such activities as the creation of care-free consumption and consumption guidance.

　　Meanwhile, the city will strengthen supervision and law enforcement by sending inspectors to the front line, focusing on the key risk points of product quality safety, food and drug safety, and special equipment safety, while concentrating on risk investigation and management actions. Also, a “Bright Kitchen and Tidy Stove” move will be implemented in the campus canteens. And it will enforce the supervision of market prices during key periods such as holidays and major events, and the surveillance of e-commerce platforms and advertising markets. Better play will be given to the role of the website of the national enterprise credit information publicity system, by promptly recording the random quality check, inspection and administrative penalty information with the name(s) of the enterprise(s) concerned and publicizing it.

　　In the campaign, the city will continue to advance the construction of the business environment of “Leading position Nationwide by Ten Zeroings”, deepen the quality improvement, promote excellent performance management, carry out a series of activities including “open fiber inspection” and measurement projects to benefit the people, and hold activities such as quality open days, publicity of quality knowledge entering communities, and “Quality Month” on-spot consultation.

　　During the movement, various special activities will be staged by the 15 member units of the Municipal Development through Quality Committee, including the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Economic and Information Bureau, and the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau in combination with their respective functions.
