The list of the first batch of national logistics hubs was announced recently, and Yichang Port-type National Logistics Hub (hereinafter referred to as Yichang Hub) was successfully selected. On the morning of September 17, a press conference was held by the Information Office of Yichang Municipal Government. Ren Xiaojun, a spokesman, the secretary of Party Group and director of Yichang Municipal Logistics Development Center, revealed that Yichang was in the first batch of national logistics hub construction lists, which mainly benefited from four significant advantages.

　　First, Yichang has a special strategic position. Yichang is the location of the Three Gorges Dam, the key node of the Yangtze River Economic Zone. It has unique location advantages such as East-West connection and "Golden Cross" between North and south. Second, the project maturity of Yichang Hub is high. At present, the main facility of Yichang hub -"Baiyang Park and Maoping Park" project has been completed. The next step is to strengthen the construction of international logistics facilities in the two major parks. Third, the network value of Yichang Hub is high. Yichang Hub has distinct characteristics of dam-crossing and transfer, and is an important hub connecting the national logistics hub. Fourthly, Yichang Hub is strongly related to the national strategy. Through the construction of Yichang Hub, a national resource allocation center can be formed at the junction of the upper and middle reaches of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.
