On the morning of Oct.10, through the "single window" of China international trade, Parsons Music (China) Co., Ltd. sent an online application to the Yichang Free Trade Zone Sub-branch, ICBC, and quickly completed the company's cross-border remittance of 2.82 million yuan. This marks the cross-border business breakthrough of Hubei financial institutions on the "single window" of China (Hubei) international trade platform.

　　Sun Zhidong, accountant of Parsons Music (China) Co., Ltd., excitedly told reporters that the "last kilometer" of the company's cross-border remittance business would be fully overcome in the future. Zhang Haitao, vice president of the Yichang Free Trade Zone Sub-branch, ICBC, briefed reporters on the complexity of the long-existed "last kilometer": when an enterprise handles import remittance, it needs to get the original customs declaration form at the customs, then submit the original and the remittance application to the bank; the payment could be completed after the authenticity verification of the declaration form through the internal process of the bank. The enterprise would also have to go through the administration of foreign exchange if the remittance needs to be paid in installment. People had to go back and forth between relevant departments for a remittance and banks had to take all risks like counterfeit declarations.

　　On Oct. 8, the platform newly provides financial insurance service for enterprises in cross-border foreign exchange collection and payment, purchase and sale of foreign exchange, trade financing, credit insurance, and freight insurance, etc. "Now the customs, foreign exchange administration, banks, enterprises and other relevant departments are all connected through the 'single window' platform of China international trade." Yichang customs staff told reporters that on this platform, 25 government departments have achieved connectivity, business concerning the customs, taxes, foreign exchange can all be handled online without paper work and enterprises can complete their business without going outside.

　　The convenience of business handling has also greatly stimulated the enthusiasm of banks. At present, ICBC has provided enterprises with services such as online account opening, cross-border remittance, cross-border collection, foreign exchange rate inquiry, cross-border loan, approving credit for high-quality customers and issuing credit loans through the "single window" platform.
