On October 29, it’s learned from the Municipal Logistics Development Center that after successfully entering the list of the first batch of cities in the national logistics hub construction, Yichang will mainly accelerate the construction of the international bonded logistics facilities in Baiyang Port and Zigui Port, and upgrade their stockfacilities, with a total investment of nearly 1.77 billion yuan as estimated.

　　The two ports,asdemonstration projects of multimodal transportationin China,are the core projects inthe construction of the Three Gorges cross-dam transportation system,and also the supporting ones to the building ofa national logistics hubin Yichang. Among them, 3 projects for upgrading the stockfacilitieswill focus on the improvement of such functions of the ports as railway and waterintermodal transportation facilities and intelligent highway port, with a total investment of 220 million yuan;9projects with a total investment of 1.55 billion yuanare set up to overcome the weaknessesof theincremental facilitiesthrough primarilystrengtheningcustoms clearance at ports, bonded logistics, cold chain logistics, special railway lines for collection and distributionand etc.,through enhancingregional logistics organization and operation capabilitiesandthrough improving thebusiness accumulation between Yichang hub and other national hubs such as Shanghai, Chongqing and Chengdutobetter promote high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and support the coordinated development of the eastern, central, western, southern and northern regions.
