Yangtze River Piano Selected Again to Be Used in World Famous Competition
2019-12-02 11:17:21

On November 7, the signing ceremony of the piano for the “16th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition” was held in Wuhan, at which the “Yangtze River Piano” independently developed and produced by Perth Music Group has officially become the piano to be used in the competition in 2020. The piano will once again appear in the world-class professional competition after its presence in the “16th Russian Tchaikovsky International Music Competition” in 2019.

The Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, founded in 1973, was named after the famous pianist Arthur Rubinstein. The event is held every 3 years, not only as a world-renowned benchmark international competition, but also as one of the most important and difficult piano competitions in the world. It is commonly recognized as an international competition that demonstrates fairness and impartiality.

In recent years, the municipal party committee and municipal government have actively cultivated the piano culture industry, carried out extensive activities to benefit the people in piano culture, and made great efforts to popularize the basic education of piano culture. They have also vigorously promoted the construction of urban cultural hardware, and jointly organized with the Chinese Musicians Association the 8th Yangtze River Piano Music Festival in succession, which has further demonstrated the popularity and good reputation of Yichang as the “City of Chinese pianos”.
