The reporter learned from Yichang Customs on November 13 that in October in 2019, Yichang exported 11,502 tons of fresh citrus fruits, with a total export value of US $14.935 million, an increase of 121.9% and 154.7% year on year respectively. Among them, the volume of the export of lemon was 357 tons, with a total value of US $15,49 million, achieving a breakthrough of zero export.
Since 2019, Yichang Customs has been focusing on services, trying to customize a fast and efficient service model for the export of agricultural products with characteristics of Yichang through system innovation, business integration and process reengineering. On one hand, Yichang has comprehensively implemented the single window declaration and clearance model for international trade to improve the work efficiency, significantly improving the speed of customs clearance. On the other hand, Yichang Customs has listened to the demands and suggestions of enterprises on improving the facilitation level of import and export of fresh agricultural products at the port in the form of "face-to-face" customs clearance for enterprises; it also has opened a "green channel" for export of fresh agricultural products, dispatched business backbones to form an "appointment supervision group" to provide all-day appointment customs clearance and inspection services for fresh agricultural products, further optimizing the port business environment, and helping Yichang citrus into countries along the “Belt and Road ”.
It is reported that the citrus and lemon in Yichang are exported to the 8 countries along the “Belt and Road”, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. (Reporter: Pei Shujing; Correspondent: Shen Xiaowei)
