It is learned from the Yichang Traffic Tourism Industry Development Group Co., Ltd.on September 5 that amount of E-tourist cards of Yichang City issued this year has reached 300,000, the highest record since the issuance of the E-tourist cards.

　　The 3-generation E-tourist cards, as a pilot projectof Smart Tourism of Yichang,has become available in the whole citysince March 1to replace the physical cards.The tourists who have applied the e-cards via the officialWechat account of “Yichang E-tourist Card”can check in by scanning their faces at the gate of each scenic spot. The applicants enjoy the advantages of convenient application and instantaccess.

　　The E-tourist card was popularly accepted since its issuance. Besides the new applicants, over 160,000 physical card holders registered on the platform to apply for the E-tourist cards, part of whom renewed their accounts which have long been “ignored”. At the same time, application of the e-cards is restricted by no regional limitations any more, as has attracted more applicantsfrom the counties besides the urban district, and has improved the connectivity between the scenic spots and the tourists. Up to Nov. 3rd, the card-available scenic spots havereceived 762,868 tourists of e-cards, with a 65.72%increase from the same period last year.
