On December 5, a press conference on“Keepingthe original aspiration and mission in mindand Striving to createasatisfying public transportation for people” was held in the urban area of Yichang. Aissued reportsurveyed thesatisfaction of the public transportation, showing that the rate has reached 97%.

　　There are now 89 public transportation lines, 750 busvehicles, and more than 2600 employees with an annualoperatingmileage of 52.4 million kilometers andan annualpassenger volume of 168 million per year,according to the report. The survey covered 11 aspects, including safety, comfort, information service,busstations settings and route design of public transport.

　　The survey showsthat the satisfaction rate of public transport service in Yichang has reached 97%,an overall satisfaction score of 83.6,among whichthe most satisfyingaspects areservice, mode of payment and safety respectively, with the highest score of 86.8 in service. However, several single items such as departure time and comfortscorerelatively low, reflecting the deficiencies in improving punctuality, improving the crowded environment, shortening transfer and shortening departureintervals.
