On December 5，The charge standard of domestic waste treatmentis to be adjusted by Yichang Municipal Government, accordingto the news from the Yichang Municipal Development and Reform Commission.The new standard is to beimplemented startingJanuary1, 2020.

　　The target group of the adjustment is the units and individuals that produce domestic waste within the urban area of Yichang（excluding Yiling District） such as residents, government departments, enterprises and institutions, social organizations，and service units.

　　The object of the adjustment of the standard for the treatment of domestic garbage is the residents and government agencies, enterprises, institutions, social organizations, and service units that generate domestic garbage within Yichang (excluding Yiling District).

　　According to the latest standard, the urban waste disposable fee of eachhousehold has increased to 7.5 yuan per month, 3 yuan higher thanthe original one. As for the charge collected along with the water fees, if the average monthly water consumption is less than 1.5T (or within), the treatment fee of domestic waste will be exempted; if the consumption is between 1.5T and 5T (or within), the treatment fee will be charged by 60% according to the approved standard; if it is over 5T, the treatment fee will be fully charged.

　　Besides, households who enjoy the minimum living security can be exempted from domestic garbage disposal fees by virtue of receiving the minimum living security payment certificate issued by the civil affairs department. (Reporter Liu Yan)
