On December 14, the Boao International Summit of Beautiful Villages of 2019 was held at the meeting center of Boao Forum for Asia in Qionghai City, Hainan Province. Zhaojun Village was on the list of “China’s Most Beautiful Village of 2019”announced in the meeting and became the first village of Hubei Province to receive this award in seven years. On that day, Zhaojun Village was also nominated for"National Top 100 Tourist Destinations".

　　The promotion activity for seeking China's most beautiful village of 2019, was based on the theme of "village rejuvenation and beauty sharing", taking"industrial prosperity, ecological livability, rural civilization, effective governance, and wealthy life" as the standard. According to the principle of “one village in one province” and the achievements made in natural ecology, happiness, cultural harmony, innovation and leadership, and industrial development, the " China's Most Beautiful Village of 2019" was selected from nearly a hundred villages recommended at various levels.

　　According to introduction, more than 500 million yuan has been invested in Xingshan County to upgrade Zhaojun Village, focusing on the construction of Zhaojun's cultural tourism brand, developing relics related to Zhaojun, and constructing a culture and tourism area by integrating historical culture, village culture, rural scenery, humanities and natural landscapes. At present, some landscapes has been built in Zhaojun Village such as Folk Customs Street, Light and Shadow Show, Zhaojun Memorial Hall, Zhaojun House and Niangniang Spring. Zhaojun Village has become a national unity and progress education base, a patriotic education base in Hubei Province and a key cultural relics protection unit in Hubei Province.
