According to Yichang Customs, the total foreign trade value of Yichang from January to November reached 20.19 billion yuan, a rise of 7.3% year on year.

　　Based on statistics, the city’s total foreign trade value in November was 1.8 billion yuan, of which the import and export value in general trade reached 1.56 billion yuan with the decline of 8.3%, making up 86.7% of the total foreign trade value in the same period. In addition, the import and export value in processing trade achieved 190 million yuan and that in bonded logistics attained 5 million yuan.

　　Private enterprises have maintained great momentum. In November, the import and export value of private enterprises hit 1.25 billion yuan, with an increase of 13% and accounting for 69.3% of the total foreign trade value in the same period. Export hit 1.17 billion yuan and import reached 8 million yuan. In addition, the total foreign trade value of foreign-invested enterprises was 230 million yuan.

　　From the perspective of trade partners, Singapore has moved up to become Yichang’s second largest trade partner. In November, Yichang’s first foreign trade partner was still the United States, with the trade value amounting to 250 million yuan. And its second trade partner was Singapore, with the trade value amounting to 220 million yuan, an increase of 4.8 times.

　　From the perspective of export products, the export amount of traditional labour intensive products has increased persistently. Yichang has exported traditional labour intensive products of 230 million yuan, up 59.6%. It has exported mechanical and electrical products of 350 million yuan, dropping 4.3%.
