Reporters learned from the Science and Technology Bureau on December 26 that the Ministry of Science and Technology has announced the list of national science and technology business incubators in 2019, Yilian Science and Technology Park and Yichang Bio-pharmaceutical Incubator are on the list. Up to now, the number of the city's national science and technology business incubators has reached 6.

　　Located in Lantai Road, Yichang High-tech Zone, Yilian Science and Technology Park focuses on the introduction and cultivation of enterprises involving Internet of things, Internet Plus, service outsourcing, etc., with more than 160 small and micro science and technology enterprises and over 300 applications for intellectual property rights. Located in Yichang high-tech zone bio-pharmaceutical industry park, Yichang Bio-pharmaceutical Incubator centers on the construction of a complete incubation chain of "makerspace—incubator—accelerator—industrial park" to accelerate the cultivation of bio-pharmaceutical incubation base. The total number of incubated enterprises has amounted to 130, including more than 80 biomedical industry chain enterprises.

　　It is learnt that there are 45 incubators and makerspace in the city, with an area of nearly 1 million square meters, second only to Wuhan in the province. Now, there are more than 1,200 incubated enterprises in the city, creating over 10,000 jobs, laying a high-tech industry foundation with electronic information, high-end equipment and biological medicine, and training a group of successful enterprises and entrepreneurs. Up to now, there are more than 200 successful enterprises, 70 state high-tech enterprises, 12 enterprises on the New Third / Fourth Board list. The establishment of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms makes it possible to introduce seed funds of nearly 400 million yuan and 82 enterprises invest nearly 40 million yuan.
