On December 28, the inauguration ceremony of Yang Shoujing Calligraphy Academy of Yichang City and the first academicians' calligraphy works exhibition were held at Three Gorges University. Deputy Mayor Zhou Zhengying attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

　　Zhou Zhengying pointed out that Yang Shoujing, as one of Yichang's important “cultural business card” enjoys a high reputation worldwide. As the first calligraphy association registered under the name of "Yang Shoujing", the Yang Shoujing Academy is the crystallization of Yichang's efforts to tap local historical and cultural resources. It is also an important measure to remember sages, inherit tradition, and strengthen local and university cooperation. Its birth is one of the signs that the cultural soft power of our city has been further improved. It is hoped that the Yang Shoujing Academy will become an important position for inheriting calligraphy and promoting the national culture, and help Yichang's calligraphy career to go to the next level.
