On December 27, the promotion for high-speed railway tours was held by the administration of culture,radio and television and tourism of Meizhou city, Guangdong Province in Yannanfei Tea-field scenic area in Meizhou city, Guangdong province. The theme of this activity was “travel to Meizhou by high-speed railway and enjoy the charm of the city of Hakkas during the spring festival.”

　　The cultural tourism administrations and representatives of the industry from 21 cities gathered to deliberate the development plans for regional high-speed tourism. The 21 cities are Guangzhou,Wuhan, Nanchang, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Dongwan, Huizhou ,Shantou, Meizhou, Jieyang, Chaozhou, Shanwei, Zhangzhou, Sanming, Quanzhou, Yichang, Jinzhou, Xiaogan, Fuzhou, which are along Meizhou-Shantou high-speed railway, Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed railway and the extension lines.

　　Those cities possess abundant tourism resources and distinctive tourism products, which can help to achieve favourable complementation to each other and create a promising future for communication and cooperation as well. On the spot, the representatives from 21 cities signed “The Agreement for Cooperation of the Cities Along the High-speed Railway”, aiming at giving full play to the cultural tourism resources and brand advantages of those cities and expandingthe agglomeration effect of the integrative development ofculture and tourism.

　　Next,the 21 cities are going to strengthen the collaboration for tourism promotion, open the columns for communication and cooperation in their own tourism websites, establish information-releasing system to timely provide and upgrade all kinds of online publicity material about tourism, hold tourism-themed introduction and marketing events, commodities fairs and other promotion activities in various forms.

　　At the same time, being related to the theme of “high-speed tour”, the 21 cities will all endeavor to create tourism brand and routes, which integrates product development with events that are highly participatory, educational and recreational and tightly combine static tourism products with dynamic tourism products. In this way,a batch of travel routes with high-speed railway feature can be achieved through integration. Moreover , during the two “golden weeks” of spring festival and the NationalDay as well as summer and winter vacationsevery year, the “high-speed railway tour” routes will be introduced, further activating the high-speed railway tourism markets in the 21 cities.
