According tothe announcement released byHubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourismon January 2nd,there arenine newly-added 4A-level scenic spots inthe province, amongwhichtwoarelocatedin Yichang, namelytheZhaojunVillageCultural Tourist Zoneof Ancient Han DynastyinXingshanCounty, and theWulingxiakouTourist Zone inYuananCounty.

　　The Zhaojun Village Cultural Tourist Zoneis located intheBaopingVillage–thehometownofWangZhaojun, bytheXiangxiRiverinXingshanCounty. The village is sandwiched between two streams, and surrounded by green mountains,amongwhichtheSaomaoMountainbehind itis cloaked by clouds and mist all year round.WhatDu Fudescribesin his poemas“Multitudinousmountainsand valleys gototheJingmenMountain,alongsidestill standsa villagewhereMingPrincessgrewup”referstothis place. The ancientvillage under the shadow of the mountains and forests is full of greatcharm, withZhaojun’shousecharacteristicoftypical Han Dynastyand thesimple carvedmemorial hallreminiscentof her girlhood. At present,in thecultural touristzone,youcanvisither house,herNanmuWell and herdressing table, and the steps leading to the dressing table are exactly level 16, indicating thatZhaojunspent16 yearsherewhen young.And theNanmuWellis named after apieceof ancientNanmufoundinthe well, whereZhaojundrewwater.

　　Located in Yangping Town,Yuan’an County，Wulingxiakou Ecotourism Zoneisa comprehensive tourist resort integrating primitive ecological canyon landscape, farming experience, hot spring with outdoor and cave adventureandpolar racing. Theresortcovers an area of 10 square kilometers,with200Mu (about33 acres) of landfor development,and 500 Mu (about82.5 acres) of mountains and forests along with aconstruction are aofabout20,000 square meters.TheWulingValleyand the ancient trade road havea length of5 kilometersandmore than 30sights.The valley,with a nature of bluestoneanditskarst landscape integratingundergroundrivers, water pools, karst caves and rock pits,is a remoteand quietplace because of itsunusualheightanditsthick forest.There arefour cavesconnected with each other whereyou can findcultural landscapes such asstone carvingsinXian Feng reign of Qing Dynasty(1853,late Qing Dynasty), stone mansions, stone villages and temples, cliff carvings, stone house communities, ancienttraderoads, burner tablestones, and cliff paths.

　　The other 7 new 4A-leveltour zones are the Dream Water Village Ecotourism Area inXiantaoCity,theFour Seasons’ Flower Sea Scenic Area inYingshanCounty,HuanggangCity, the former site of Central Military District inDawuCounty,XiaoganCity,theField and Country Park inJiayuCounty,XianningCity, andtheBataoyuanScenic Spot inShennongjiaForest District,theMagnolia Flower Village Scenic Spot inHuangpiDistrict of Wuhan City, andthe Han DynastyCityScenic Spot inZaoyangCity ofXiangyangCity.
