2020-03-17 11:49:55

On March 14, the first day when the QR code was available for people’s moving in Yichang city, the reporters investigated physically in some communities for the situation of QR code use for going out.

“Have you scanned the QR code? Remember to do that if you haven’t.” At 9:00 am in Bailonggang community, 4thShengli Road, the staff were repeatedly reminding those residents who intended to go out. Wang Bo, a resident in that neighborhood , took out his mobile phone and scanned the QR code on the gate, then the information including his community, Hubei Health Code and his photo showed on his phone immediately. Checked by the staff on the spot in terms of his body temperature, Wang Bo walked out of the gate after offering the Minsheng Access Card ( a card for a household to go out for buying daily necessities and seeking medical help).

“We organized personnel to stick relative notifications and QR codes after being told.” The staff on the spot told the reporter. In order to get everyone familiar with the operation proceedings, they arranged operation training to the staff and volunteers of the community. In addition, they sent messages to the owners in the residential compound in the online group to instruct them the operational methods.

In Meianchangdi community, the reporter came across Xie Chunyan and her family who have just got back to Yichang city from Wufeng county. Under the guidance of the staff, they applied “Community Access Permit” successfully and bound it with Wechat in accordance with the instructions, entered the community by scanning the QR code. “It is very safe to go back home through scanning the code, which not only ensures the safety but also saves time.”

Gong Yaqin, the temporary party branch secretary for epidemical prevention and control in Mochixiang community, illuminated that there are more than 2000 residents in Meianchangdi neighborhood and some measures have been taken to save people’s time---stuck 7 instructions for Hubei Health Code use and QR codes, added the watch man of the gate to 6( two staff were responsible for one-site order, two for scanning the QR code, one for registration, one for body temperature check). 1088 residents went out of the community by 16:30 according to the statistics. “As for that some old people don’t have smart phones, we will assist them in getting temporary certification for them to move conveniently in the premise of ensuring the check of body temperature.”

The reporter learned from Municipal Administration of Government Services and Big Data that in urban areas of Yichang city(including Yiling district), nearly 230k people moved through scanning QR code on the first day when it was available, totaled 540k times. 66 people were advised to go back by the watch man because of their yellow or red code after scanning( people are allowed to move only when their health code are green) . It is learned that with the increase of application scenarios of code-scan as well as travel volume of people, the administration is expected to expand and support the platform so as to provide people a useful and easy health code system.( Reporter: Xiong Donghua; Correspondent: Chen Yiheng)
