2020-03-27 16:51:59

On March 15,The reporter learned from the Municipal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that the city's urban areas will gradually resume their vaccination work from March 16. Childrencan have access tovaccinationin any of the 22 clinics, including Yichang Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital, Dongshan Community Health Service Center, Yangcha Road Community Health Service Center, Qiaobian Town Health Center and Gulaobei Community.

In order to reduce the potential infection risks between recipients and guardians, the CDC has formulated aset of vaccination processwithin this special period. First, make appointment. According to the principle of dependency administration, recipients or guardians should contact the vaccination clinic under the jurisdiction of their own residence in advance and informof their health condition and whether they have traveled or lived outside the city recently. For those who are eligible for vaccination, medical staffwill arrange their vaccination schedule and limit the number of recipients at the same periodto avoidmass gathering.

Second, make preparations before vaccination. Only one guardian is allowed for company. Wearing a mask is a must for both recipient and guardian during the whole process. It is also required to avoid congestion and contact with each other. For infant and small children who are unable to wear a mask, it is necessary to minimize the chance of close contact with others. They are also suggested to be kept at least 1 meter away from people. Do not gather to talk. Guardian and recipient should have their body temperature taken in advance to ensure that they are in good condition. But, if they havefever, cough, fatigue and diarrhea, please do notgo to the clinic. Meanwhile, children are asked to wear loose and easy-to-wear clothes to avoid a long stay in the clinics. Immunization Record, Immunization Service Manual, ID card and Green Health Codeare required to prepare for the vaccinationin advance. Try to avoid public transportation when traveling.

Third, activecooperation. During the vaccination, guardian and recipient should be cooperative with the medical staff while taking body temperature and checking relevant epidemiological information, and honestlyprovidingtheir recent health information. Recipient and guardian should enter through special channel and are not allowed to enter otherclinical department. After the vaccination, they are to be kept for a 30-minute observation before leaving, stayingat least 1 meter away from others and avoidinggroup talk. During the outpatient service, recipient and guardian should avoid touching public facilities or their eyes, nose and mouth with their hands. Wash-free disinfectant with alcohol content can be used to keep hands clean. After returning home, wash hands and ventilate frequently, and pay close attention to children's health. The vaccine-related ever usually occurs within 24 to 48 hours after vaccination, during which the body temperature should be no more than 38.5 degree Celsius and it will resolve on its own within 1-2 days. If you have symptoms such as high temperature or persistent symptoms, you should seek medical treatment in time.

Since it takes time for an overall recovery, vaccination service in Yichang East Community Health Service Center and Huayan Community Health Service Center will be suspended, according to Yichang Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Please feel relived about the delay of children's vaccination. Most of the vaccines can be refilled in time to obtain effective immune protection. (Reporter Huang Chunmei;Correspondent Fang Min)
