On March 25th, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, the Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, and the Overseas Chinese Friendship Association jointly issued aProposal on Helping Overseas Chinese to Fight the COVID-19 to express sincere thanksto overseas Chinese at home and abroad for their great support to the motherland and their hometownsor birthplacesin the battle against the disease, and meanwhile calledon thoseoverseas Chinese affairs organizations and unions, the masses of the overseas Chinese in Yichang, overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, and people from all walks of life within the city to showtheir love and express their encouragement to overseas Chinese abroad to jointly fight against the epidemic.

　　According to the initiative, some overseas Chinese are now facing shortages of epidemic prevention materials and difficulties. We all feel obligedto help each other to meet the challenges together. It is hoped that all overseas Chinese affairs organizations and unions and the overseas Chinese in Yichang, overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, and people from all walks of life will take actions actively and donate money and supplies, especially fully qualified medical consumables and protective supplies to overseas Chinese through legal and formal channels to show ourstrong support. It is necessary to actively disseminate and share China's powerful measures, positive results, and self-protection ways againstthe epidemic, to tell Chinese and Yichang’s prevention stories well, andto promoteemotional exchanges with overseas Chinese whileencouraging them to strengthen their confidence and courage to overcome the epidemic.
