According to the Municipal Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Center, the production and supply of pigs remain stable and keep a good momentum after the implementation of the "five stable" measuresinpig productioninspring.Up to now, the amount of live pigson hand has reached3.181million, with an increase of 185,700 comparing to that ofthe end of last yearandthe piglets supplement of more than 1 million.It is estimated that the annual number of pigs for slaughter isup to 5 millioncity-wide whilemore than 2 million live pigs will be transferredfrom other cities.On April 9, theexperience of Yichang was introduced bythe 49th session of the work news ofAnimal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureauin Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

　　"Five stable" measures areto:gather strengthto solve the key issue;intensifythe implementation of policyand provideeffectivesupport; organize monitoring and dispatchingtoovercome difficulties; strengthen the prevention and control of African swine fever;develop contactless service and usetechnologicalsupport. The budget is decided to add 10 million yuan, with a total of 18 million yuan to support pig productionthis year while point-to-point supplement and breeding plan is made.Only in March, the number of supplementary column piglets was 292,400.
