Yichang Customs boosts export of speciality products
2020-05-07 14:20:33

On April 22, Kazakhstan lifts the ban on citrus fruits imported from China, and 35 orchards and packing plants in our city are allowed to export oranges to Kazakhstan again.

OnMarch 2nd, on the grounds of the detected harmful organisms, Kazakhstan suspended the import of citrus, seed and stone fruits from China, which had a great impact on Yichang. In 2019, we exported 27,000 tons of oranges to Kazakhstan.

In order to meet the inspection standard as soon as possible, Yichang Customs is cooperating with General Administration of Customs actively to investigate and recommending the list of qualified enterprises to provide basis for the Foreign Negotiations of the General Administration. Meanwhile, Yichang Customs has also organized relevant enterprises to carry out "online" training to ensure that the citrus fruits meet the official requirements of the importing countries, monitoring the citrus fruits epidemic situation with agricultural sector, and controlling the origin of fruit production, strengthening quarantine and supervision of citrus fruits exports, urging the enterprises to shoulder responsibilities and help Yichang to develop diversified and high-quality export of specialityproducts.
