The reconstruction of rainwater and sewage pipe network on FazhanAvenue and its ancillary projects began on May 6.Traffic at the intersectionfrom FazhanAvenue to DonfangAvenueis under control.

　　Institutions like the local administrative service centerandthe local publicsecurity bureauare in the surrounding area.In order to ensure smoothness andsafetyof transportand mitigate the influence of construction on people’s life and work, convenience channels will be reservedon road sections insurrounding public areas, communities and schools.

　　This reconstruction will upgrade the rainwater and sewage pipe network along Fazhan Avenue to realize whole collection of rainwater and sewage of companies and communities,thus addressing the problem of sewage disposal from the source. In addition, with the concept of sponge city, it will optimize the drainage systems along the construction site and rebuild open drains to solve the problem of waterlogging drainage in the region. Theoriginalpipelines will be renovated,rain pipes will be built newly under the green belts on the west and the pavements on the east, and sewage pipes will be built under green belts on both sides.

　　This construction will improve the current transect design by changing the six-lane highways intoa eight-lane one while maintainingthe red line width of 60 meters. To mitigate the traffic pressure, one four-lane rhombus stack interchangewill be built at the Fazhan Avenue－Dongfang Avenue intersection and two flyover overpasses will bebuilt at the intersections of Donghu Avenue and Meiziya Road respectively.
