  China's Ministry of Commerceon June 4thissues some measures to support the accelerating development of the China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It will give full play to its role as a pilot ground for reform and opening-up while continuing to implement normal containing measures of Covid-19.

  It’s required by CMC that Hubei Pilot FTZ should be supported in building a national base for foreign trade transformation and upgrading to give full play to the role of high-quality foreign trade development. In order to play a leading role in FTZ, the development of integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce in Wuhan is encouraged. To leverage our strengths of institutional innovation, Wuhan, Xiangyang and Yichang are supported in carrying out pilot cross-border e-commerce retail import. Wuhan is expected to take FTZ as its core, advance a new round of trials for innovative development of trade in services, and play a leading in improving the management system, pushing forward reform and firmly promoting wider opening-up, improving promotion mechanism, and innovating the policy system as pacesetters. Meanwhile, Xiangyang and Yichang FTZ are encouraged to learn from the experiences for innovative development of trade in services, and to accelerate the development, taking FTZ as the core to carry on their innovative reform and development according to their own situations. In addition, Ministry of Commerce Working Station in Hubei will be established to address trade frictions and legal services for enterprises in Hubei Pilot FTZ, and provide the guidance of trade adjustment assistance.

  CMC also puts forward some guidance and support measures on further optimizing business environment, improving market operation mechanism, deepening international economic and trade cooperation, and strengthening organizational security. (Reported by Jin Guiman)
