In the battle against COVID-19, biomedical and medical equipment manufacturers were ordered at a critical and difficult moment to speed up the resumption of production, making outstanding contributions to emergency supplies. 　　In the past three months, the opportunity to speed up overall arrangement has been seized. On the one hand, biomedical enterprises were supported to resume production andexploit the market; on the other hand,investment attraction around industrial chain and cluster was strengthened while R&D and introduction of new products and projects were increased and biomedical industry was to be cultivated and strengthened. At present, 80 biomedical enterprises abovedesignated size have resumed work. The number of newly signed biomedical projects, whose investment is more than 50 million yuan, is 14 with total investment of 1.047 billion yuan.

　　There are workers making Remifentanil at the lyophilized emulsion workshop of Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., whose procedures are light inspection, labeling, packing… It is reported that the production number of each line is 2~3 million per month since February 3 while the output value of export drug base is more than 1 million yuan per day and the number of orders in the first quarter is more than the whole of last year. During the epidemic, the Humanwell Pharmaceutical did not stop its pace of new products R&D, which launched Alfentanil Hydrochloride and achieved mass production. So far, Humanwell Pharmaceutical has become the first domestic manufacturer possessing whole series of Fentanyl products.

　　The government, casting chain, grasping the leading and driving whole body, helps enterprises to resume work through the whole industrial chain from a long-term perspective. Local governments have given priority to leading biomedical enterprises, key industrial chains and major projects, comprehensively sorted out industrial chain and promoted the resumption of work from single enterprise to the whole industrial chain.

　　The focus will be on comparative advantages of active pharmaceutical ingredients, chemical medicine, modern Chinese medicine, medical dressings and other key fields, building a high-end pharmaceutical production base and forging an industrial cluster with regional characteristics based on industrial chains of generic drug manufacturing, traditional Chinese medicine processing and medical products manufacturing. According to statistics, there are 65 generic drugs under evaluation in Yichang, accounting for one third of Hubei province. The number of generic drugs through consistency evaluation reaches 8, accounting for more than half of Hubei province.

　　The epidemic has provided new development opportunities for health industry. Many enterprises such as Allmed Medical and Huaqiang Science & Technology, have turned the crisis into an opportunity, rapidly entering into industrial chain of epidemic control supplies manufacturing, cooperated with world-renowned pharmaceutical enterprises to introduce innovative products and promote the layout of enlarged health industry.

　　Since January 19 and 20, Allmed Medical has gradually resumed production of protective equipment and achieved full production quickly. It has also led five supporting industrial chain enterprises in Zhijiang to resume work. On April 28, Allmed Medical announced that it planned to invest in the newAllmed Medical Disease control and protection products base, setting up a wholly-owned subsidiary as the main body to undertake the project. The total investment of the project is about 1 billion yuan, of which fixed asset investment is about 600 million yuan.

　　Since March 20, 5 “cloud contract signing” activities have been held, respectively with Dongyangguang, Humanwell Pharmaceutical, Allmed medical and other enterprises docking cooperation matters with a number of biomedical and enlarged health industry projects have been signed.

　　On March 26, bio-pharmaceutical production base project of Shanghai Huilun Hubei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. settled in Yajiagang Circular Economy Demonstration Park with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. The new COVID-19 drugsivelestat sodium hydrate developed by Shanghai Huilun is one of the five new clinical trials approved by the state on emergency basis. After the completion of this project, the annual output value can reach 10 billion yuan. At present, it has entered the key enterprises list of the biomedical industry in Yichang.

　　Relevantparks in Yichang High-tech Development Zone, Zhijiang, Yidu, Yiling and Yuan’an changed circumstances to follow the trend, highlighting investment in key industries of emergency prevention and control and biomedicine, leading enterprises as the core, promoting investment attraction around industrial chain and cluster, providing integrated services to the project, increasing various elements of security, speeding up generic base and CDC protective industrial base construction.
