On June 23, in accordance with the arrangement of the Yichang COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, Yichang Market Supervision Bureau and the Health Commission organized asampling of seafood products, fresh water products, meat and instruments in livestock stalls, such as cutting boards, knives, countertops and sinks, as well as some foods in 6 farm product markets, 17 supermarkets and eating places, and collecteda total of 673 samples,consistingof 251 environmental samples, 162 biological samples, and 260 employees’ samples, the results of all whichproved negative after a nucleic acid test of new coronavirus.
The environmental sampling and testing started on June 13th and continued for 11 days.By June 23, 83 supermarkets, 70 farm product markets and 74 eating places within thejurisdictionof the citywererandomly sampled, witha total of 4587 samples, which are made up of2261 environmental samples, 798 biological samples, and 1528 samples from employees,and the test results are all negative.
