The Yichang North Railway Station expanded fivefold in plan

  The construction scale of the Yichang North Railway Station of high-speed railway along the Yangtze River is planned toincrease more than five timesfrom 15,000 square meters to 80,000 square meters, and the construction scale of Dangyang West Railway Station will be expanded from 6,000 square meters to 12,000 square meters, based on information from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission on July 8.

  The Yichang North Railway Station is not only the terminal of the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River from Wuhan to Yichang, but also is a traffic hinge which intersects the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River and other high-speed railways.The Dangyang West Railway Station is a critical station of the high-speed railwaysalong the Yangtze Riverpassing bythe big populous county-level city (Dangyang)under the jurisdiction of Yichang city. After a comprehensive study of the overall construction scheme, the plan of 4 linesbetween Jinmen city and Yichang city is conformed. In light of the standard of comprehensive transportation hub, the Yichang North Station adopts the form of stationbuildingson both sides and elevated overcrossing waiting rooms, and it is constructed on the scale of 9 platformsand 20 lines.

  The Hubei section of high-speed railway along the Yangtze River is one of the four high-speed railways which are ensured to start construction in Hubei this year. Since the tender notice of survey and design began in 2018, the current feasibility research report has been reported for approval, and the final mensuration is stepping up to be finished.
