On July 14, according to the Yichang COVID-19 control headquarters, Yichang health department and market supervision departments are took measures matching the corresponding levels of emergency response to do sampling inspection of 3 medical institutions, a supermarket, 4 farmers' markets, 1restaurant and 5public places,atotal of 281 samples collected including chopping boards, cutting tools, countertops, pools and sewage from seafood products, freshwater products, meat and poultry. Among them, 250 are environmental biological samples, 31 are samples from employees are testednegative for the virus.
Since June 13, environmental samples from supermarkets and farmers' markets in Yichang have been tested for 32 days. The sampling range has been gradually expanded from farmers' markets and large markets to key public places such as medical institutions, community health service centers, bus stations, express stations, public toilets and water treatment plant. As of July 14, tested samples include 3 comprehensive medical institutions, 2 community health service centers, 99 farmers' markets, 161 supermarkets, 154 restaurants , a public transportation, a traffic stop, a public toilet, a water treatment plant, a express station, and five other places. A total of 4,909 environmental biological samples and 2,316 samples of practitioners are testednegative for the virus.
