On July 16, a chief fromthe Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Construction of Yichang issued to 8 owner representatives of the Evergrande Landscape City Project the Housing Quality Certificate,the Housing Quality Assurance and the Instructions on Housing Usefor their purchased houses. This is the first time to issue suchhousing qualitycertificatesafterthe city has launched a pilot system of issuing quality certificatesfor eachapartment tonew residential projects.

　　In October last year, Yichang was designated as the first batch of regions to pilot a residential quality certification system by the Hubei Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Construction. According to the requirements of the pilot work, from June 1, 2020, the builderof a newly-finished residential project in the urban area of Yichang shall provide the Residential Quality Certificate foreach apartment. On December 1, the certificate system will be fully implemented in the entire city and on the certificate suchinformation is clearly statedas the name of the commercial housing project, constructor, project leader, after-sales departmentand itstelephone number, and acceptance time. “When a housing quality problemdoes occur, the owner of the house canknow whom he or she should turn toatthesight ofthe certificate,” said a chief from the Housing and Construction Bureau, this system will make clearerthe primary responsibility of the constructorand the main responsibility of other parties involved in the construction, and will thusstrengthen the housing quality control.
