On July 30, it is learned from Road Parking Management Center of Yichang that the construction of urban parking lots is sped up by Yichang Construction and Investment Parking Company in order to solve the problem of inadequate parking space in main urban area. It is estimated that five new parking lots will be completed in this year, adding 770 parking spaces.

　　These 5 parking lots are as follows.

　　The first one is the parking lot under Zhixi Yangtze River Bridge. The project is located at the intersection of Xiling No.2 Road and Yanjiang Avenue, covering an area of 1652 square meters. The project is now under construction, which is expected to provide 60 parking spots.

　　The second project is located at the intersection of Shengli 4th Road and Dongshan Avenue, which covers an area of 6,148 square meters and is expected to provide 173 parking spots.

　　The third one is located at the intersection of Outer North Gate Main Street and Desheng Street in Xiling District, coveing an area of 11,095 square meters, which is estimated to provide 412 parking spots.

　　The fourth project is located in the former Xinhua Bookstore in Yiling Square. It covers an area of 2,286 square meters and is planned to provide 78 parking spots.

　　The fifth one is located in demolition area near Yichang No.2 Senior High School of Xiling No.2 Expressway, covering an area of 1,960 square meters, thus 47 parking spots will be added.

　　Those last four projects are still in the tender process and scheduled to start in August or September this year. It is anticipated that these parking lots surely make citizen’s life more convenient. (Reporter, Tian Dongming; Correspondent, Liu Teng.)
