On July 27, Yangtze River crossing channel project on Yichang Dongyan Road bid its opening in the municipal public resources trading center through the Internet, marking that a new river crossing channel will soon be built in Yichang.

　　After fierce bidding, three companies, including China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance Design Institute, China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group and China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group, became candidates.As the bid inviting party of this project, the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will determine the bid winner as soon as possible and organize the preparation of project proposal, feasibility report and related thematicstudy.

　　It is learnt that, in March this year, Yichang Dongyan Road river crossing channel project was incorporated into“Layout Planning of River Crossing Channel of Yangtze River Trunk Line (2020-2035)”formulated bythe National Development and Reform Commission. It plans to be built between the Yiling Yangtze River Bridge and the Wujiagang Yangtze River Bridge.At that time, there will be 11 crossing channels over the Yangtze River in Yichang.
