On August 25, Yichang was enlisted as one of the 40 national sports consumption pilot cities according to the General Administration of Sports of China.

　　For the implementation of “The General Office of the State Council on promoting the national fitness and sports consumption opinion and the development of sports industry with high quality”, the general administration of sports determines pilot cities lists based on direct recommendation of sports bureaus and experts’ reviews according to requirements. The work aims to promote the innovation of sports consumption mechanism, policy, model and product, so as to accumulate experiences in promoting sports consumption.
