BEIJING, Sept. 4 Special Dispatch(Three Gorges daily, Reporter: Zhao Jingyi; correspondent: Yu Sanyang)2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held at China National Convention Center(Beijing)on Sept. 4. As a leading fair in service trade, CIFTIS, along with China InternationalImport Expo(CIIE)and China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), has become one of the three major exhibition platforms for China’s opening up. Thefair, which is the first major international economic and trade event held offline in the country since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, has attracted about 100,000 visitors from 148countries and regions and over17,000 exhibitors.
61 companiesincludingRenfu Pharmaceutical, Angel Group, Jinbao Musical Instrument, Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area, have been organized by the city to attend the fair bothonline and offline, andsuch featuredservice brandsareheavily marketed as international tourism, biotechnology, generic drugs, aircraft bonded maintenance, musical instrument development and manufacturing. In the event of the Hubei Province Theme Day held in the afternoon of September 5th, Vice Mayor Zhou Zhengying will promote Yichang International Tourismas a special product, and three projects will be signed togetherthen.
According to statistics, the total import and export volume of the city’s service traders(excluding individuals)in 2019 totaled US$182.987 million, among whichexporttrade aggregated 78.182 million US dollars, an increase of 112.8% year on year, mainly focusingon travel, transportation, construction, labor services and processing services,whileimporttrade reachedUS$104.805 million, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%, largely made up of technology introduction services, the use of intellectual property, travel, and other commercial services.
